JEUNESSE REVIEW SUMMARY

Product Name: Jeunesse

Founder/Owner: Wendy Lewis and Randy Ray

Product Type: Health & Wellness MLM Business Opportunity

Price:  $49.95 + Various up-sells + Monthly Product Order Requirements of $85.00

Best For: For people who like selling health, wellness & beauty products including have passion for building teams

Summary: Jeunesse is a large, legit and reputable MLM company. Although having good track record, it doesn’t mean this is the best money making opportunity for you. The MLM scheme is a 50-50 split which means you either lose or win. There are more you’ll need to do than promoting its products in order to live the life you truly want.

Rating: 8/10

Recommendation: I do not recommend this product for reasons which I am going to explain below

What is Jeunesse?

Founded by Randy Ray and Wendy Lewis in 2009, Jeunesse is a MLM skincare company that mainly promotes its anti-aging skin care products and a variety of health supplements.

As an MLM company, Jeunesse aims to help its members earn a fulltime income quickly through product sales and member recruitment.

As you might not know, Randy Ray and Wendy Lewis are icons in the MLM industry. Their first MLM business was called Forever Freedom International, which sold a type of micro-thin coating used in car vehicles to reduce gas consumption called MPG-CAPS.

If it’s your first time to hear about MLM, it is a legitimate business model that offers members or associate multiple tier income opportunity.

Please do not mistake MLM with the pyramid scheme. Although, they are very similar, they differ in one thing. MLM is legit while pyramid scheme is not.

In MLM business, members focus to promote products rather than selling the marketing plan to recruit more members.

On the contrary, in a pyramid scheme, members earn money by focusing on recruiting members rather than promoting the product. In order to earn money, members are forced to recruit more people so can earn a cut from the amount spent by their downlines.

Products used in a typical pyramid scheme is just meant to mask the unethical business and can’t create real value to customers. Feel free to check the FDC explanation about pyramid scheme if you want to know more about it.

At first glance, Jeunesse seems a promising brand. The company has grown steadily throughout the years, which is a good indication of the good leadership in place.

Well, there are tons of buzz going on around the internet about this company, which makes me really curious.

So before I make my verdict, I want you to take a further look inside this MLM business opportunity with me.

Inside Jeunesse

Jeunesse is considered one of the biggest and most reputable skincare MLMs in the industry. They've stormed into anti-aging scene with their Instantly Ageless products that is said to reduce wrinkles and eye puffiness, which I am going to explain now.

Jeunesse Health & Wellness Products

The company has 14 products but the most popular product is the AM & PM ESSENTIALS, a natural dietary supplement that is part of its Youth Enhancement System.

This formula consist more than 100 types of minerals, botanicals and vitamins that are essential supplements of your daily nutrients so you could wake up happy and sleep restfully.

It is sold at $139.95 per set containing 60 capsules each bottle, to be consumed day and night. It's fairly affordable for ordinary consumers and distributors to start with.

Two other popular products are dermatologist-developed LUMINESCE Skincare Line and RESERVE.

LUMINESCE range consist of serum, anti-aging cream, moisturizer, cleanser, body lotion and mask to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, thereafter restores youthful vitality and radiance to your skin.

RESERVE on the other hand is a conveniently-packed antioxidant juice that super-charge your internal systems and repair free radical damage and protect cells against future harm.

Below is the complete range of Jeunesse products. If you want more information about each product, you may visit Jeunesse Product Page.

Meanwhile, let’s move on to the next section to see how its compensation plan works.

Make Money With Jeunesse

In this section of my review, I will explain to you clearly how to make money with Jeunesse.

You can simply purchase a product from Jeunesse, without joining as member. But to join their MLM business opportunity and enjoy a preferred price which is apparently lower than normal price, you must register as their affiliate.

If you are unfamiliar with the term “affiliate”, it’s referring to a marketer who promotes another person’s product to earn a commission.

Many MLM companies such as Neways International and LifeVantage including Jeunesse started to recruit affiliates through its online dashboard. This way can encourage more people to effortlessly join the business, thereafter start to recruit members and earn tier-based commission.

Before we jump into the compensation plan, let me remind you that in MLM business, you earn a commission when you recruit new member, aside from the profits earned through product sales.

To sign-up as a new member, you will need a sponsor – someone who is already an affiliate member of Jeunesse. Just enter the username of your sponsor and follow the prompts.

When you have successfully signed-up and purchased a product, your sponsor will get a commission. Subsequently, you can sponsor new people to join Jeunesse and earn your own affiliate commission.

There are 6 ways to earn money in this company according to the image below, which I am going to explain one by one.

1. Retail Profit

Jeunesse states that you can get between 20 to 45 percent discount depending on your chosen product. After joining as an affiliate and purchased a basic package, you can start selling and earning a profit.

But you won’t earn much just by selling products. Eventually, you will be “convinced” to make an effort to rank higher and earn bonuses.

2. Referral Commission

This is also known as the new customer acquisition bonus, which means that you will earn a commission for every new member you bring into the company, provided the member purchase something.

The commission earned ranging from $25 to $250, depending on the selection of enrollment package purchased by your recruited member.

There are multiple enrollment packages offered by Jeunesse in different countries, whereby the cheapest package can start with as low as $199.95 and can go as high as $3995.00 (United Kingdom).

In order to earn more commission, it’s very common for distributors to engage in “Inventory Loading”, which is a term to describe a situation where distributors purchase extra inventory in order to participate in a program, meet personal volume requirements, receive commission checks or other bonuses.

According to FTC, engaging in this type of activity is a sign that a company’s incentive program is a pyramid scheme.

Look, I am not saying that Jeunesse is such a company but there's high possibility that some members may resort to such measure in order to earn more.

3. Residual Commission

Residual commissions are available to teams, which are paid using binary compensation plan structure, which means working with two legs – left & right.

For those who are not aware how the binary compensation plan works, the success of this compensation model can only achieved through combined effort and extensive team work of all the downlines.

The leader has to constantly keep a balance of effort & activity distribution between both legs to achieve optimized results as shown in the image below.

If you have active members on both legs, you will get commission for every sale and sponsorship they make. However, the commission depends on how much PV and GV each downline has.

For example, if you have a volume count of 300 GV on one leg and 600 GV on the other leg you will earn $35 commission.

Depending on how much sale your legs can generate, the company states that you can get as much as 750 per team – that is $26, 250 per week.

Up to this stage, I believe many of you are already confused with the complex compensation plan offered by Jeunesse. But hang on, there are more reward plans in MLM business model that you must understand in order to become successful.

However, if you prefer a simpler method to earn decent income, then I suggest you to join the affiliate marketing program that I joined, and learn the exact method I use to earn a 5 to 6 figure income, working from home.

I guaranteed you'll be spared from the need to understand complicated, multi-tiered commission, PV & GV scheme!

4. Matching Bonus (You must be at least a Jade Member or Higher)

The Matching bonus activates once you reach the Jade ranking or higher. It’s paid out using the Unilevel compensation plan, allowing only one line of distribution.

This means you are eligible to earn 20% commission for every product that your downline buys.

There is no “width” limit with this unilevel plan. This means maintaining 2 legs is no longer important. You’ll be rewarded based on the “depth” of your network, and not restricted to maintain a binary system.

Currently, the leadership board is divided into 10 levels with Jade at the fourth rank and Double Diamond as the highest.

As you move up the ranks, a whole bunch of bonuses open up to you, including monetary bonuses, point bonuses, and lifestyle rewards ranging between vacations and leadership conferences.

5. Customer Acquisition Incentive

As a Jeunesse affiliate, you will earn 10% additional bonus for every 5 retail customers, wholesale, or preferred. You will earn 20% if you get 10 retail customers, wholesale, or preferred.

6. Leadership Total Bonus Pool

You will also have a share in the company’s global sales after you qualify for a leadership total bonus pool.

Who is Jeunesse For?

Jeunesse is only good for people who have strong perseverance, like to promote science-based health & beauty products and enjoy building teams.

This kind of people can constantly recharge their positive energy even though they face rejection and frustration from their downlines, every single day.

Since sponsoring people and building bigger teams require much more effort than selling products, having a combined crazy lead-generating, recruiting and motivator’s ability is the only way to earn a sustainable income with MLM business.

Even so, there’s no guarantee that you will get rich as an MLM affiliate, because ultimately you need to face another challenge which is to continuously build and nurture new teams.

Unlike affiliate marketing where you create content once to continuously enjoy the inflow of passive income, in MLM, it’s a never ending to-do list once you start. There’s no way you can stop at all!

The Truth About Jeunesse

Truth #1: Complicated Compensation Plan

Jeunesse has a complicated compensation plan with lots of structure and processes to get through. I bet more people, especially MLM newbies would have been drained out and give up even before reaching Level 4.

While earning money can be as simple as abc, MLM system is very challenging and complex. If you’re planning to make MLM your only source of income, you need to at least reach the Level 4 rank to enjoy more perks and bonuses.

Furthermore, MLM company is famously known to amend their compensation plan, introducing new plan every now and then, which somehow or rather can affect the earning potential of each member.

Therefore, it might not be sustainable to survive in such a volatile environment for long-term, particularly when being a leader, you need to constantly portray a positive image in whatever challenging situation – this can be very stressful for a normal person.

Truth #2: It’s a Hassle to Lead & Manage A Team

As with most MLM business, the company’s system is based a lot on generating bonuses and you can only achieved this through expanding your team.

We all know that managing a team can be extremely challenging and when it grows bigger, will turns complicated.

Eventually, you will go through a lot of hassles in recruiting & pleasing people who come from different background, culture and belief, than to earn a decent income that you truly need.

Truth #3: Low Earning Possibility

You can make a lot of money with MLM system but how many actually managed to achieve such lucrative income? In fact, the way this system is setup makes it really hard for starters to make money or break even. There’re just too many layers you need to brace through.

Apparently, as with all MLM scheme, only the people on the top earn millions of dollars while those at the bottom remain as average income earners.

As its income disclaimer states, almost 75% of its distributors earn less than $4,300 per year and the top 1% took an average of 6 to climb to the peak. Only about 158 global distributors earn more than $82,500 per year. Here’s the full disclosure of Jeunesse Distributors’ Income for year 2018.

Truth #4: Lawsuits from Existing Distributors

Amidst its claim as a reputable company, it seems that Jeunesse is not one with the cleanest hands on the record. In 2018, Jeunesse was sued for the fourth time for allegedly engaging in a pyramid scheme.

On the bright side, the company has settled the case for an undisclosed amount and have it dismissed with prejudice in April this year, which means that the same action could no longer be re-filed by the same person.

Things I like About Jeunesse

The impressive leadership as evidence through its longstanding existence is one of the few things I like about Jeunesse.

Furthermore, despite the complicated compensation plan, I can’t deny how amazing the AM & PM ESSENTIALS are, which garnered rave reviews on Amazon.

Their revitalizing and rejuvenating effects are quite evident from the positive feedback of different users.

But business-wise, I am not so confident about it.

Is Jeunesse a Scam?

Jeunesse is definitely a legit, law compliant MLM company that offers you the opportunity to build an MLM business.

Its high quality science-backed products, produced through years of lab research and testing, is a real solid proof that this company is not a pyramid scheme.

Despite, Jeunesse has extraordinary excellent products, impressive leadership, and longstanding existence, I still won’t recommend anyone to climb up its ranking system.

Why would you want to be confined to selling only products from a single MLM company when you can promote products from multiple companies?

I rather choose the best products from each MLM companies and promote via affiliate marketing strategies to earn a full time income.

After all, it’s not millions of dollars that I want to earn, probably only $100k a year is more than enough for me.

How I Start A Small Business Online

Overall, Jeunesse is a legitimate MLM skincare business that is steadily growing its market share until today.

However, MLM is not for everyone and it will take many years of effort to build a solid team so you can enjoy all the over-riding commission and bonuses to truly live the life you always wanted.

In my opinion, affiliate marketing still proves to be a better alternative with lesser stress if you’re just looking to earn a decent income that can potentially replace your day job.

We all want to enjoy a flexible working schedule and earn income as we go vacation. Like you I used to doubt whether affiliate marketing could bring me anywhere near to my dreams.

Thankfully, I took the courage to try and got my full time income that enable me to quit my c-level job. If you want to learn how I was able to make it, do grab a copy of my free guide and follow through the methods I use.

  1. Interesting review you have done up here concerning Jeunesse. I got introduced into this business offer by a colleague at work and decided to carry out a little research before making as commitment to them and I’m glad I did. I never knew this is an MLM business. Though it seems very legit and risk free but I had lost a lot to MLM businesses in the past and I’m not sire I’m ready to input my money back to it. Also, though the commissions are very lucrative and huge, the complexity associated with them does not make them very convincing enough to take as a risk. Thanks so much for this review

  2. Hi Jessica. I have never heard of Jeunesse before. It surprises me because my granddaughter is into all the MLM companies. Thank you for another interesting review. It’s great to be able to find some honest opinions on various MLM companies. I must admit however that this one does sound like something my granddaughter would like, she loves skin care products in particular and she’s pretty good at making these sorts of business’s work for her. Is there anyway that a business like this could be incorporated into a website? Jim

    1. Of course it’s possible. You can create niche website or sales page to promote such products either through free traffic or paid traffic strategy. I started my online business with free traffic strategy following the training inside a program that’s proven to work. It’s called Wealthy Affiliate. You might want to give it a try.

  3. This is a good post and I’m glad you could actually do this review. I am not really an MLM fan, I don’t like it at all and I usually preach against it because one cannot make good money from it. The company is just hiring people to help them make money and they get very little crumbs. Jeunesse looks quite like a good company that makes good products but seeing they’ve been in a controversy in the past is another red flag. I saw that you’re quite successful with working from home. How you managed to achieve this?

    1. It’s not that difficult Henderson, just need to put in consistent effort and hard work. The method I use is called affiliate marketing. Just a simple business method that can help anyone make a full time income, good enough to live a decent lifestyle. If you want to learn how I did this, I suggest you explore my top recommended program. At least it’s free for a start where you can get a feel on how affiliate marketing works.

  4. Hello FLORENCE KI,

Thank you for your honest review about Jeunesse. Didn’t know that this MLM company is actually one of the biggest in the industry. But I don’t really fancy doing face-to-face selling. I saw that you can promote Jeunesse by having a website. You’ve any idea how to do this?

  5. Hi, Florence.
Thanks for your fair review on Juenesse business module.
The thing which kept me ticking for red flag was the number of times this company was sued for indulging in pyramid schemes. This is not very comfortable.
On the contarary, the opportunity you suggested is very clear and can be worked upon.
Thanks for clearing the doubts and reaching on the decision.
    Warm Regards,
    Gaurav Gaur
