Product Type: A Platform to search for work at home jobs

Best For: Nobody

Summary: This platform is suspicious and very likely is another low quality program that can't help anyone find work at home jobs that can generate decent income.

Rating: 10/100

Recommended: No

What is My Home Job Search?

My Home Job Search is a platform that helps you to find real work at home jobs near you.

It acts like a mini job search engine whereby once you key-in your zip code, you are immediately presented with information about companies near you that offer work at home opportunities.

Founded by Michael Anderson in 2016, My home Job Search claims to only offer “approved” jobs and you are assured that the companies offering jobs are legitimate, exist physically and have proven track records.

Their website is professionally designed and anyone who is not careful or doing own research might end up paying some money to find job opportunities.

One red flag I immediately noticed is the “FACEBOOK LIKE” button at the end of its homepage which shows that this program has 485,529 likes.

When I try to click on the button, it brought me back to My Home Job Search homepage but not its Facebook page.

And when I did a search on Facebook, there’s no such business page at all.

Do you still think it’s possible to find real jobs through this suspicious platform?

Inside My Home Job Search

It all started with entering your zip code to search for jobs near you where you’ll be required to answer a series of questions such as your desired salary and the number of hours you are able to work.

After done answering, you’ll be asked to give your personal information to access details of work at home jobs near your area.

Then they will ask you to watch a video trying to sell you Platinum Membership, costing around $99 one-time fee, which I’ll explain their membership tier later.

On its dashboard, you’ll find links that bring you to join survey sites such as SurveySpot and Survey Club including freelancing sites like Fiverr.

I thought My Home Job Search is supposed to find you jobs from real companies? I don’t think taking surveys is considered part of a real job, at least it’s never going to help you make enough money to pay your bills.

I guess this program is mostly linking you to job recruiter or other existing business opportunities websites rather than connecting you directly to employers.

How to Get Started with My Home Job Search

My Home Job Search offers two different pricing depending on where you are accessing the site from and also the features you’re given access.

Below are the 2 membership options.

Access to additional resources for finding jobs

Premium Membership
One time fee of $99, or $29 when on sale
Access to all resources

Customer support

Who’s My Home Job Search For?

I don’t think My Home Job Search is for anyone because there are too many such platforms out there and it’s free.

Seriously, no one should ever pay to search for work at home jobs.

The Truth About My Home Job Search

The Fake Owner: After you sign up, you’ll watch a sales video hosted by the owner Michael Anderson. It turns out, Michael Anderson is nothing but a royalty free stock photo found in Shutterstock, a global licensed images provider.

It is very likely that he’s not the real owner of My Home Job Search. I don’t think owner of any legitimate platform will try to hide behind a person found in stock image.

Available Jobs Are Programmable Information: Regardless of what zip code you gave them, there are always jobs near your area.

I’ve tried different zip codes and I’ll always be directed to a page that says “There are 12 employers near …. “.

The magic number is 12. Try it out yourself.

This information is definitely programmed. It’s not based on actual jobs at all, rather just to make you feel excited and pay the $99 fee.

Fake Testimonials: Whenever I discovered fake owner in any program, it definitely comes together with fake testimonials. Look at what I’ve found.

All these testimonials that supposed to come from real members are actually stock images and it’s from Shutterstock too.

If there are real happy customers, why would My Home Job Search uses fake testimonials?

There’s no need for me to explain right?

Misleading News: One last thing that My Home Job Search did to mislead you is by showing TV news reporting about the various work at home opportunities that help people become millionaires.

In fact it’s by no way related to My Home Job Search at all. Rather it’s just an overview about the increase of people working from home.

Here’s a disclaimer inside this website that disassociates My Home Job Search with major brands and news channels.

Showing news clipping from real channel in their sales page is simply misleading, especially the disclaimer is placed at the bottom of their website, which many might not read.

What I Like About My Home Job Search?

There’s nothing I like about My Home Job Search.  It’s a waste of time even to explore the so-called work at home job opportunity.

If you do not reside in United States, forget about exploring this site and it’s not going to give you real job from companies outside the country.

Is My Home Job Search A Scam?

Despite the website of My Home Job Search looks legitimate, but there are too many suspicious areas that I do not feel comfortable with.

Why would a legitimate website use fake owners and testimonials to mislead you?

Everything that I found inside this platform seem like another low quality program to me. Here are some common features in low programs that I’ve reviewed previously.

  • Hyped-up sales video that shows high income statement;
  • Deliver quick and easy income without technical skills required;
  • Only little time and effort required a day;
  • System is a secret that's never revealed before;
  • Some pathetic story of the spokesperson with his turnaround success story
  • Just copy the success formula and you can be successful too
  • Emotional trigger to to give you hope
  • Limited time offer;
  • Low upfront price strategy; and
  • Identity of product owner is never disclosed

Yes, some of the websites that My Home Job Search linked to is legitimate, but why would you want to pay $99 when you can go directly to them?

As a conclusion, I won’t recommend anyone to join this program. It’s just too suspicious.

  1. Hey Florence! Since I’ve heard recently about My Home Job Search, I was willing to try it for myself and see if it really works. Yet I am glad to say that I took my time to make a research before going on it myself, and coming to your article was the best way to do so. Thorough and beautifully written, your review didn’t miss a thing I wanted to learn on My Job Search, so now I can decide for myself. And I don’t think that is a hard decision left to make for me now.

    Do you have any recommendation instead of My Job Search for me?

      Glad that you consider my review before making abrupt decision to enrol into My Home Job Search. I start to make money from my small online business with Wealthy Affiliate. You might want to consider giving this program a try.

  2. Wow, you certainly did your research. I can’t believe that My Home Job Search charges one $99 to show you jobs that are available online. I am sure if you Googled available jobs, you could easily find work at home jobs online without any problems. Thanks for sharing this piece of great review.

      You are welcome. In fact, if anyone wanted to leverage on their existing skills and make extra money online, they can easily start with existing freelancing websites. There are just so many out there and it’s free. Just that we need to really evaluate whether it’s worth our time to make money this way.

  3. Thanks for your scrutiny of this My Home Job Search. It really helps in exposing questionable opportunities being peddles to people looking for a way to make money from home online. Like you, it is my desire to help these people, and when I found your review, I am happy that it is not only me, but there are hundreds or even thousands of others doing the same helping people steer away from online money pits.

    I’d like to give my opinion as to what kind of programs are these. Sometimes, it is safe to not label them scams because, they might take a screen shot and sue us for doing so. What is better to do is, warn people to take caution of programs like these and to exercise their due diligence in making a research whether these programs can actually help or will just be another money pit. One indication this can be a money pit is, if they are going to help people find a job online, then why are they asking for money? I’ve seen a lot of programs like that online, that instead of helping people find a real job online, they are milking the job seekers of their money.

      Thanks Gomer for giving such insightful comment. Yes, I always consider giving fair and true review as my mission in ClickWebSuccess.com. I’ve been victim of low quality program for a few times before finally landed in one that helped me quit my C-level job. That’s why I kept producing new reviews so my readers are able to make sound decisions.

  4. I was blown away by the impudence. The owner is a royalty Shutterstock image with a fake name? Well, wow. And I can absolutely agree on your point, any legitimate owner would love to take credit for his honest work. According to Dale Carnegie, it fills one of our deepest desires of feeling important. Thus, one can safely presume if the owner does not want to take credit for his work/system/software it’s not a legitimate high quality, high-value product. Quite the opposite, in fact.

    I feel all the other insights were also extremely relevant. You just can’t not love those fake testimonials or that facebook like button, haha.

    Thank you, for taking your time and investing it in all the research, Florence! I appreciate it!

    Cheers, and have a Great One!

    Matiss

  5. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any supposedly legit program use Shutterstock imagery before. I believe that’s a whole new level of insolence. Obviously, I might be wrong but aren’t these royalty images limited to being attributed to people’s opinions? Meaning, you can’t use them for made up testimonials and opinions. Again, I might be wrong but you may know. If not no worries. 🙂

    Other than that, I believe you were very conservative in your conclusions, which is definitely not a bad thing. But I would have definitely been way more harsh than you have. Nonetheless, I believe “There’s nothing I like about My Home Job Search” sums it up best.

    There is no question. This one’s a HUGE scam!

    Thank you for sharing this!

    Have a Wonderful Day!

    Rasa
