Summary: Paid Social Media Jobs is a job marketplace that offers social media jobs for freelancers who want to work as a social media manager. However, the training provided can’t adequately nurture you to become a social media expert. The most disappointing is still its job marketplace that is lousy and definitely not the best place to earn full time income online. Unless you are already an expert in social media, otherwise, the training provided is not relevant.

Rating: 4/10

Recommendation: I don’t recommend this site at all.

What is Paid Social Media Jobs?

Paid Social Media Jobs is an online job platform that pays freelancers to manage social media accounts.

This site is said to have founded by Annie Jones in 2012 and claims to have helped thousands of freelancers all over the world to earn money online.

If you are not familiar with online income, here are 50 legit ways you can earn money online.

Just to give you an idea, the following are the basic tasks that social media managers do.

• posting
• commenting
• replying to comments
• creating ads
• growing likes
• generating leads
• and most importantly, develop effective content strategy which is not taught inside Paid Social Media Jobs.

I am very familiar with these tasks because I am also earning quite a decent income by becoming a social media manager.

The only difference is I do not only perform basic duties of a social media manager as perceived by many people.

Before I even start, I'll do research and develop brand positioning before develop content to meet the desired goals.

As a social media manager, not only do you need to develop content strategy, you'll need to know how to read data, analyse them and make strategic decisions based on combined data.

Here's the video you must watch to know exactly what a social manager does including challenges and opportunities.

With years of branding experience, I would say to earn 5 to 6 figure income as a social media manager requires more than what’s claimed by Paid Social Media Jobs.

While it seems like a great platform, it doesn’t come for free. Currently, Paid Social Media Jobs has a one-time fee of $27.

But if you try to exit the sales page and move the cursor outside without clicking anything, there’s a pop-up button with a special offer at $17.

Regardless of which countries you try to access Paid Social Media Jobs from, you’ll still be offered with great offers.

I’ve tried that while I was in Philippine which returned with the same 50% offer shown to people from other countries.

At first, you will probably thanked God for the so many offers, but once you purchase the product, you will get an upsell called Social Media Arbitrage at $37.

Doing the math, that is $17 + $37 = $54 you'll be investing.

If you’re wondering why there’s a cost, the site has an explanation for that.

It says it will not take any percentage on your earning so it will use the cost to cover website expenses.

To compensate freelancers, $50 will be given to freelancers once they get their first payout. But can you really get a job through this platform?

Just a note, this is not a “get rich in one day” site. After paying, you need to apply for jobs and work for it.

The payment varies according to the job. The more complicated it is, the better payout you will get.

Now, let’s first talk about the job database which is accessible in the member’s area.

According to the platform, social media jobs are pretty simple. Anyone who knows how to use Facebook will be able to become one.

Aside from that, each job really pays well. Can you believe that?

To apply for any job, you simply need to click on the “Apply” button and type your cover letter. I am not sure how many days it will take for clients to reply as there is no information related to it.

But according to my experience using Upwork.com, which is a legit and popular freelancer job marketplace, clients can take up to 7 days to reply.

Nevertheless, one thing is for sure – your chance of getting hired depends on what the client thinks about your application.

This means, to the bare minumum, your resume must looks good. This is how the training inside Paid Social Media Jobs is based on.

Complete Training

There are four main modules inside the Paid Social Media Jobs. Let’s take a look at each one of them.

Module 1: Understanding Social Media Manager

This is just a brief introduction on the following topics:

• What is social media manager?
• Why do you need to become a social media manager?
• And how to position yourself so that clients can trust you and hire you?

Honestly, I don’t find this module useful at all. It doesn’t have a solid content since all it does is discuss “what” and “why”.

You can actually find similar content on the internet without paying anything.

Module 2: How to Get Started as a Social Media Manager?

This includes the following topics.

• A discussion on how important it is to become a social media manager
• Explanation why you need to choose Paid Social Media Jobs
• Introduction on the different types of social media jobs and how you can apply
• A brief discussion about your work as a social media manager

In my opinion, there isn’t much information in this module.  I expected that there would be in-depth training on social media skills and strategies I could use when working.

But I have found none. In fact, the discussion is very simple.

Module 3: Finding Clients

This module includes everything about how to find your first client.

• Different types of business that need social media managers
• How to find your first clients
• How much you can expect to earn

Again, you won’t find any actionable training that could give you a head start as a social media manager. The discussion is very plain and dreary.

To find a client, you’ll need to first build your reputation. I’ve done that while I was in a 9 to 5 job, doing extra for my colleagues without asking for any return. That’s how I earned my reputation as a social media expert.

So when I decided to quit my c-level job, immediately I received offers to take up social media jobs and work at home.

That’s how every business works. You need to build trust!

Module 4: Advanced Training

This module supposedly includes training on different social skills and strategies you can use as a social media manager.

But what I found are very basic training about social media marketing such as how to set up sponsored ads, engaging followers, etc.

These are not even “advanced” as what the title says.

Frankly speaking, you can easily find these tips by following social media influencers such as Kim Garst and Jeff Bullas.

Or you can learn directly from Facebook Blueprint if that's the social network you want to focus on – and that's free!

By the way, the training lessons are not delivered using video tutorials. All you get are a bunch of e-books and blueprints which you will have to read patiently.

If you are not a person who likes to read, then Paid Social Media Jobs is definitely not for you.

Who is Paid Social Media Jobs For?

Paid Social Media Jobs are supposedly for people who are looking for extra income online by working as a social media manager.

However, there are just too many red flags in this site which I am going to expose one-by-one. Here’s the truth about this platform.

The Truth About Paid Social Media Jobs

Truth #1: Unknown Owner

The site claims it is founded by Annie Jones.

On the sales video, you will learn that Annie Jones is a single mother who went from broke to earning $700 per week out of Paid Social Media Jobs.

However, I tried to do a little research and found that the photo used on the video is a stock photo.

There is no doubt this site has made a blatant lie about its owner.  

Truth #2: Unrealistic Income Claims

On the site, you will see that Annie Jones shares her income as a social media manager.

At first they are enticing because you will see that she earned $272 per job and her PayPal account totaled $9,421.83.

For a social media online freelancing job, these are way bigger amount than normal!

To earn such an amount per job, you’ll need to know how to curate and create engaging content such as inspirational post, news, infographic, videos and many more.

You need to know about how to develop content strategy.

It’s never as easy as curating existing information from the web and share on social accounts.

But the problem is, I can’t find any training of such inside Paid Social Media Jobs.

As I go on searching for more information, there are a few interesting things about “Annie Jones” that I want to share with you.

First, her picture on her Paid Social Media Jobs profile is different from the one used inside the video.

Second, she uses a different name on her PayPal account which is Kate Jones.

I guess you’ve noticed that too. With these “mistakes”, would you still believe the site is trustworthy?

Truth #3: Fake News

This is the part I really want you to pay attention.

On the site, there’s a section where Paid Social Media Jobs is supposedly featured on a Breaking News.

I’ve watched the news and yes it does talks about how people can earn extra income online by helping businesses manage their social media accounts.

But something is wrong… it never mentioned Paid Social Media Jobs at all, except there’s a text showing “PaidSocialMediaJobs.com” at the bottom of this news.

So I did more research and found out the video was created by engaging a paid video spokesperson from Fiverr.

If you are new to this site, Fiverr is another freelance job platform where anyone can sell their services such as giving testimonials, write sales pages, design graphics, and many more.

You can also provide social media services in Fiverr too. However, unlike Paid Social Media Jobs, the registration is free for everyone.

This sales technique using fake breaking news is not unusual and can be found in sleazy products. such as those listed below.

• Clicks Dealer
• Digital Payday
• Cash Formula
• Million Dollar Replicator
• Viral Cash App
• Ecom Profit Sniper

Nowadays, it is so easy to manipulate videos and make it look like you own it. Please don’t fall for this trap.

Truth #4: Fake Testimonials

Paid Social Media Jobs will show you a couple of screenshots of testimonials that were supposedly given by successful members to their support teams.

As you can see, all of them are telling great things about Paid Social Media Jobs.

However, I tried to search for information about the authors of the emails and found no information. There was really no way I could verify whether the information is true.

The site share more success stories in video form.

They will tell you how thankful they are for Paid Social Media Jobs for helping them earn big.

Here’s what I think…

The testimonials are too perfect. It appears that they are scripted and very well polished.

Aside from that, considering the various fake information that this site shares, would you still believe these testimonials are true?

Absolutely not!

Truth #5: Low Earning Potential

I am not saying that working as a social media manager has a low earning potential.

I’ve known quite a lot of friends who work as a social media manager and they are paying well, of course that’s including me.

However, I believe that you are not going to earn a lot of money with Paid Social Media Jobs.

Like what I said earlier, you need to build trust first before someone is willing to engage you with bigger budget.

Despite the fact that it claims to help you earn thousands of dollars in a month, there’s no guarantee that you can get a job instantly.

With such low barrier to enter into this job marketplace, I bet you know as well that competition can be very strong. 

If you do not have the skill, I bet you won’t even get paid, even after delivering your job.

Truth #6: Tricky Sales Tactic

Another thing I want to point out is the site’s income calculator.

The income calculator will help you calculate your income based on how many jobs you can get.

Honestly, there’s no truth to this. You can place there 5 jobs at $20 each for 5 days. It will give you $500 per week, $2,166 per month and $26,000 in a year.

The calculation might be right but how sure are you that you’re going to get the job?

Aside from that, a lot of online job platforms have used similar income calculator to lure people to sign up.

I can confidently tell you that most of these sites are either providing very low value or is an outright scam.

Again, please avoid tricky sales tactics like this one.

Things I Like About Paid Social Media Jobs

The only thing I like about this platform is the fact that they are promoting a legitimate business model.

This is not the same with many other scams like AppCoiner and Secret Affiliate which only talk about business models that do not work at all.

However, this does not mean I agree with what’s claimed inside its sales video.

Is Paid Social Media Jobs a Scam?

Paid Social Media Jobs is not really a scam but it’s not anyway near to being categorized as legit too.

Although it is selling a legitimate business model, there’s just a lot of lies and fake information in this website that makes it very discouraging.

I don’t like the training materials because they are very basic and most of them are accessible on the internet for free.

Nevertheless, with the many fake information, I would not recommend this site to anyone.

It’s hard to trust something with the slightest lie.

That makes me wonder whether it will pay me at all. Or it will just get my $54 and I end up getting nothing.  

If I were you I wouldn’t waste my money on this site.
