Welcome to My Userlytics Review

Thanks for stopping by for another review.

Today I am going to review Userlytics, a user testing platform that helps customers earn money by testing websites.

Please note that I am not affiliated to Userlytics. This review is purely based on research and my own discovery as I try to use the site myself.

So why am I doing this review?

Nowadays, Get-Paid-To programs are very common.

With various platforms on the internet offering this, it’s hard to tell which one is legit and which one is a scam.

In this review, I am going to reveal whether Userlytics is worth trying.

Here we go…

USERLYTICS REVIEW SUMMARY

Product Name: Userlytics

Founder/Owner: Alejandro Rivas-Micoud

Product Type: Get Paid to Test Website

Price:  It is free.

Best For: People who already has a stable income, the necessry gadgets and strong internet connection wanting to earn extra income.

Summary: Userlytics is a usability testing platform that pays people to test websites that register with them. At $10 to $20 per testing that only lasts between 10 to 20 minutes, the cost seems big enough. It’s a safe source of a full-time income. However, there are not too many sites or apps to test in this platform and you might end up not earning much, despite invested huge amount on buying gadgets.

Rating: 5/10

Recommendation: No

What is Userlytics?

Userlytics is a user testing platform that pays user to test websites and apps. Owners will offer selected users to test their digital assets based on the to-do list listed on Userlytics. To quality for each job, user must meet the specified requirement set by the owner based on personal demographics, behaviour and interest.

Put it simply, businesses need someone to try their websites and provide feedback. Their aim is to have insights about how effective their websites are from their users’ perspective. One similar website offering this opportunity to test website that I've reviewed earlier is TryMyUI.

Founded in 2009 by CEO Alejandro Rivas-Micoud, this site claims as the first video-based in home user testing platform.

Compared to traditional focused groups, this Userlytics allows users to test websites and apps at the convenience of their own home.

Inside Userlytics

Let me give you a brief overview about website testing. If you’re not familiar with website testing, it’s basically just visiting a company’s website and trying it out.

Normally, you will be given a to-do list and you need to follow this list when testing the website.

Once completed, you will have to submit your insight, wait for client’s acceptance before you’re able to receive payment.

Should the client find your test results useless, they have every right not to pay despite you’ve already put in your effort.

I believe this is the main reasons as to why there’re quite a number of complaints lodge by testers on such sites.

There are only three steps to get started with this site.

  • Sign-up
  • Surf the site or mobile app
  • Get paid via PayPal

The pay varies depending on the project which range from $5 to $90.

Userlytics Requirements and Application

Userlytics is very specific when it comes to requirements.

To apply, you need to have a working computer or a mobile device with fast internet connection.

If you intend to use a Desktop, the site requires the following.

  • Mac with OSX 10.13 or higher or PC with Windows 7 or higher
  • Standard browser like Google Chrome
  • Webcam and Microphone (some tests would require you to use Webcam)
  • Userlytics Recording

If you intend to use a phone, you need to invest on the following.

  • Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher or an iPhone with iOS 11 or higher
  • Standard browser like Google Chrome
  • Webcam and Microphone (some tests would require you to use Webcam)
  • Userlytic App which you can download from the App Store or Google Play

Take note… The site requires that you need to be above 16 years old to sign up.

Once you’ve signed up to the site, you will have access to the member’s dashboard.

Basically, you will have to wait for companies to invite you to do a test.

If you want to increase your chance of getting invited, setting up an Advanced Profile is a must. Don’t worry this part is still free.

Honestly, it’s hard to get invitations even if you have completed an Advanced Profile.

Once you receive an invitation, you will have to proceed with the testing with a list of tasks you need to perform in order to produce test results. Then you submit and wait for a couple of days for the site to review it.

Sometimes, it takes 3 to 5 days before you receive a confirmation that your review has been approved.

The site has its own account payment details where you can view your earnings, which makes it a little impressive.

As for the payment, the basic pay is $10. Other sites will pay more but I believe you would need do something extra to earn that much.

Some users say they were able to earn as much as $40 but they have to use a webcam to test a certain app.

Another person also said it took her 40 minutes of review instead of 20 minutes. She earned $20 for that work.

Who is Userlytics for?

Userlytics is best for tech-savvy people with existing gadgets and strong internet connection who want some extra income online. To a bare minimum, he or she must have a fixed full time income and treat Userlytics as a means to earn extra money.

This site should not be used as a replacement to your regular job. Userlytics alone has a low earning potential and won’t be enough to support your needs.

Aside from that, the income here is not fixed. You need to keep your profile updated and have to wait for invitation before you can get an invite to test a site or app.

The waiting game can be long. Before you know it, you won’t have enough money to buy basic things like clothes, food, and shelter.

I would suggest you to supplement your income from Userlytics by participating in other legit survey sites like Swagbucks, Opinion Outpost, SurveySpot or FusionCash.

Even with this, earning a full time income might be far from becoming possible.

If you want to quit your 9 to 5 job and replace your full time income with a work at home job, then I suggest you to get my free guide and follow through the steps I took to finally make it happen.

The Truth About Userlytics

Low Income Potential – There is not too many tests in this site. In the case of many people, their profile can be up for weeks without receiving any invitation yet.

You would be lucky if you get at least 1 test a week. I believe this is the reason why Userlytics states in their website that it offers part-time income opportunity.

Indeed the income potential can be treated as supplementary.

On average, the site generates 4 to 5 tests a month but with so many other freelancers who might have better qualifications than you do, you might not even get the offer.

This is very disappointing for an international testing site that claims to give you part-time income opportunities.

Global Expansion – The site claims that it is now global although its main testing projects come from Europe and North America.

In fact it says that the demand for their clients “keeps on growing rapidly”.

I don’t believe this at all. As I said, there are not too many sites or apps to test in this website and too many people are competing for the same job.

Unless you are one with experienced doing user testing and familiar with client's expectation, otherwise I doubt your test results will be accepted. This means after you wasted so much of your time doing the test, you don't get paid.

Expensive Requirements – For those who have PCs and phones with strong internet connection, this site might be worth a try on your free time.

But for if you do not have the necessary equipment yet, the requirements are actually too expensive to invest on.

Let me give you a scenario.

Imagine you’ve signed up to Userlytics in the belief that it could give you a stable income.

The average price for a Mac PC is between US$1,099.00 to US$2,299.00 in addition other apps that you need to install in order to qualify to become a tester.

On the other hand an iPhone with IOS 11 is worth $999 to $1099.

Let’s say you’re lucky enough to have one testing at $20 a week – that will give you $80 per month.

Doing the month, that will take you atleast 1 to 2 years to be able to recoup the money you spent to buy your PC or phone.

That’s just way too expensive. In fact, there’s no justice if that’s your case.

Things I Like About Userlytics

I like the fact that you can register for free in this site. Plus there is no need to go for a qualification test in order to become a tester.

Granting that you get your first pay, you can withdraw it instantly through PayPal. There’s no minimum cash-out requirement.

The pay is really good. If you get an average of $10 for a 20-minute paid test, you can earn as much as $30 for an hour. This could be a really good part-time job.

However, there is no guarantee that you can get 3 tests in day. If you did, you’re lucky.

Still, I would not recommend this site if you are looking for a fixed income.

Is Userlytics a Scam?

Having been in the industry for 10 years with reputable clients such as Google, Microsoft, and Loreal, Userlytics can’t possibly be a scam. It's a real company offering legit part-time income opportunities.

But there are a lot of things that you should be aware about this website.

Aside from the fact that it has a low earning potential, there’s not much chatter about it. In fact, I checked their social media and it seems like a ghost town.

There were a few good feedback about this site but not too many enough to support its claim to be the best testing platform.

Another thing, its requirements are too expensive.

I know it is free to register, but I would not advise you to buy a Mac PC or an Android phone especially if your payback is only $10 per review.

I suggest you look for something more serious that can allow you to earn a full time income – something like CB Passive Income or Wealthy Affiliate,

How I Start My Small Business Online

As mentioned, Userlytics can't replace your regular job. It might be a good part-time job but there’s no guarantee that you will get testing to do in a week.

I tried this types of user-testing sites with the hope to earn decent income, but unfortunately I never reach there with such low earning potential.

Fortunately, I stumble upon an opportunity that allows me to build my own small business and now earning a full time income working at home.

If you’re struggling to find one, I can guide you to my #1 Recommendation that has helped me quit my c-level job.

Just a friendly tip, this program is not going to give you dollars if you are only doing minimal work. One important thing is you must consistently work hard to see results.

My advice is, try only when you're ready.

I appreciate you dropping by to my Userlytics review.

  1. Hi Florence, thank you for this review on userlytics, actually, before I started out on my affiliate marketing journey, I did briefly try Userlytics, but I didn’t have much success and I truly believe that you are right not to recommend it, I wouldn’t recommend Userlytics to anyone either, I must admit that I do like reading your reviews, in fact, I have already bookmarked your website.

    1. Wow… I feel so great someone is actually bookmarking my site. Thank you so much for making my day. Yes, pls don’t ever try get-paid-to do site as it can deliver much income at all. It’s a total waste of time. Try Wealthy Affiliate if you are serious to earn a full time income. That’s the program that managed to help me quit my job and work full time at home.

  2. Thanks for the review! I’ve been looking at possible side income for a long time now and I always wondered about these test sites work. I never tried them out because I thought that they were all a scam. Its good to know that there are some good ones out there. Anyway, after reading your review, maybe user-testing is not really for me as I want something that can make me full time income.
